When Wilson Estate Vineyards opened their new tasting room and vineyard in Stockbridge, Michigan, I was invited—by a former client and now vineyard owner—to create a full content package to help launch their digital presence. For a new business, establishing a strong footprint across the web is everything, so we set out to build a library of visuals and platforms that would support their SEO, tell their story, and announce loud and clear: they’re open for business.
To do that, I brought out the full toolbox—FPV drone, traditional Mavic drone, and my camera kit. I shot photos and video across the vineyard from summer into early autumn, capturing how the light and color shifted with the seasons. Honestly, I could’ve been there every day. The countryside around the vineyard is stunning, and every visit had me daydreaming about living out in the middle of farmland. Sunsets there? Unreal. The kind you don’t forget, and the kind you want to film.
Alongside the aerial footage, I created stills and cinematic ground shots that now live across their website and social media accounts. We also launched a YouTube channel for the vineyard to help strengthen their reach and visibility online. All of this works together—photos, videos, platforms, and SEO—to support Wilson Estate Vineyards as they establish themselves in the digital space.
One of my favorite parts of the project was shooting a warm, cinematic header video for their website using my Sirui 35mm anamorphic lens. I’m a huge fan of the look it creates—those subtle flares, the soft edges, the way it transforms simple moments into something filmic. It fit the vineyard’s personality perfectly and is part of a larger storytelling piece I’m building for them.
Projects like this remind me why I love what I do—flying, filming, capturing the seasons, and helping a new business craft its identity. And when you’re surrounded by that kind of beauty, it doesn’t feel like work at all.
